
The M.C.E.Society Pune was established in the year 1948 and was
registered as the
society under the Societies Act, 1860 and after the
commencement of the Bombay
Public Trust Act, 1950; it was also
registered
under the Bombay Public Trust
Act, 1950 as the trust.
The aims and
objectives
of
the society are to establish
educational
iinstitutions to cater to
the needs
of students in general and
students
coming from weaker section
of the society
in particular.
The
management decided to establish H.G.M.Azam College of Education in
the
year
1992-1993 on the basis of the rights guaranteed to it under Article
30(1) of
the Constitution of India. The Government of Maharashtra gave
its permission to
establish this College with Urdu as one of the methods.
Now the college
approved by the National Council for Teacher Education
(NCTE),
Bhopal
and is also affiliated to the
University
of
Pune
.
The
college is situated in the Camp area of
Pune
City
which is
known as
Oxford of East
and it is connected by road, Rail and Air Services
with
other places in
India
.
In the heart of Pune city it has a huge campus
of 23 acres of land.
