Maharashtra Cosmopolitan Education Society (MCES) was established in the year 1948 by Late Mr. Abdul Kadir Khan and others, with the noble objective of providing education to the economically, educationally and socially weaker sections of society.
It is an educational society registered under the Society's Registration Act of 1860 and also a Public Trust registered under the Bombay Public Trust Act 1950. It is also registered under section 12(a) of the Income Tax Act 1961 and is exempted under section 80G of the said Act by the Income Tax Commissioner, Pune.
The M.C.E. Society is one of the oldest educational organizations of Pune and has done pioneering work in the field of education. Within a span of 15 years, the Society grew from a humble beginning of just 4 schools into a comprehensive educational complex comprising institutions of higher, medical, technical, and professional education.
Today, it offers academic programmes in Arts, Science, Commerce, Computer Science, Law, Education, Pharmacy, Management Sciences, Architecture, Dental Sciences, Hospitality Studies, and Information Technology.

Recognized across India for his transformational contributions to education, construction, legal affairs, and philanthropy. Beginning from very humble origins in Pune, P.A. Inamdar devotes his life to building institutions that would give opportunity to those who had none. His legacy lives on through the tens of thousands of students who graduated under his vision.
Educated, cultured, and deeply principled. Mrs. Abeda Inamdar holds an M.Com. from Pune University and was selected as an Executive Officer in the Indian Administrative Services (Central Excise & Customs). After retiring from government service in 1981, she joined her husband's work at MCE Society, bringing rigour and compassion to its continued growth. Under her stewardship, the Society has expanded to 25+ institutions.
